CamLab Network

Cambodia Laboratory Network

GABRIEL Nework

Created in 2008 by Fondation Mérieux, GABRIEL (Global Approach for a Biological Research on Infectious Epidemics in Low income countries) is a network of laboratories located in developed and developing countries.

These laboratories have in common research projects that focus on infectious diseases which have a major impact on public health and to set up epidemiological studies contributing to a better surveillance of circulating pathogens. An efficient organization network would allow the rapid identification of emerging pathogens or reemerging pathogens responsible for epidemics.

One of the major objectives is to help developing countries to improve their laboratory-based capacity for the detection and characterization of pathogens and to conduct epidemiological studies. Research training would allow local scientists to lead projects independently.
